It’s a Great Day in the South Bay when a walk around your neighborhood turns into chance encounters with teddy bears and rainbows.

With kids cooped up at home many South Bay families are keeping busy beautifying their neighborhoods with rainbow pictures and chalk drawings featuring hopeful messages.

The teddy bears are appearing all over the world, inspired by Michael Rosen’s children’s book “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.” The opening lines read, “We’re going on a bear hunt/We’re going to catch a big one/What a beautiful day!/We’re not scared.” Take a walk and see how many you can count!

It’s nice to see the bears and artwork appearing in the South Bay, instilling hope in little hearts and leading to a very colorful walk.
